Wonderfully stated. I agree 100%, although I’d love access to sending/sharing this paper to others in the field of education. Research is proving more and more how important art is in education, for all children, at all grade levels. Thank you for a job well done…. spread the word! I totally agree! I am going to do my best to move towards this model. i used to be so rigid in my teching and everything the kids made came out looking the same and perfect…Great for my teacher ego but didn’t get at what we are really attempting to do which is to help students to think creatively and independently.
