Houses of Clay, written by Anthony Deland was published in the spring of 2009 and has received very good reviews. It involves the struggle of adapting to a new culture and dealing with political violence and change. Anthony Deland is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Kenya. He lives in Portland, Oregon, and recently graduated with his Master of Arts in Teaching focusing on Art education. His love for travel and education were solidified in Kenya and he plans to work internationally in education and development. This is his first published work with more to come.
